PLEXOS International,
has been chosen to provide the Genesis middleware solution for integration into
an unmanned surface vessel (USV) as part of a contract with the Office of Naval
Research (ONR). As a subcontractor to
Littoral Research Group, a PLEXOS Partner, PLEXOS will install the Genesis
middleware to handle the Command, Control, Communications and Computers for
Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) on an unmanned Rigid Hull
Inflatable Boat (RHIB).
Genesis is a middleware
solution that controls all real time processes over a packet switched network
by means of a network operating system.
Unique to Genesis is its ability to be installed on virtually any device
through its light weight C++ architecture allowing virtually any device to
communicate with virtually any device all through open standards.
